Today begins the best two weeks of our lives...as we bask, rejoice, and count down the 14 days to Super Bowl Sunday while the NFL Network and ESPN shows us everything Steeler from the drafting of Mean Joe to Bettis's botched coin toss. Tomorrow, I will launch the first of many pre-Super Bowl articles. Tonight I wish to dole out a little praise.
Special thanks to: MP, A Dawg, JD McNugent, Louisville Slugger, J Cerv, T Bone and Wife, Brother Wayne and Wife, Russ, Joanna and her tantalizing gobs, Mrs MP, the Brothers Rodgers, The Garvin Family Cablers, Brother Steve and Family, the 56th SBCT guys, Slingblade Shawn, The Cali Browns and whomever I forgot because I'm a little drunk. You all answered the bell, while braving some arctic conditions and insane ticket prices and helped form our own little precinct inside Steeler Nation. Together we enjoyed 12 killer days! Quoting the legendary Norman Dale, coach of the Hickory Huskers (from Hoosiers)..."I love you guys"....

Ok - time to start breaking things down. As far as the Cardinals are concerned - Fitzgerald worries me. He adjusts to the ball in the air better than anyone today and may be an all time great in that department. Warner's greatest asset is his accurate arm and his ability to release the ball in the face of a blitz. We need to get some hits on Warner as he is not the most durable football player.
Our O needs to step up and not rely on the defense to shut things down. I'd like to see FWP get >120 yards and jave Large Ben play a mistake free game.
So - my question to y'all is...how many points do we need to score to guarentee victory? I say 29 will work.
Fitzgerald should worry you, he is a monster. He will end up getting some yards. That said, we should be able to make them pretty one dimensional, they sorta start out that way. Hopefully Woodley Harrison Kiesel and the boys get to Warner early and often.
On the O side, I agree that FWP is probably the key. If we can get him going and stay balanced, hit Holmes for a big one or two, and let Hines be Hines...we should be good.
Ground em to powder!!
